Discussing mechanism of unifying efforts and coordinating for the optimal use of training resources available in the companies of oil sector.

Tripoli 21 March 2022(Lana) The General Human Resources Development Administration (HRD) of the National Oil Corporation (NOC) ,held yesterday ,at the headquarters of the NOC in Tripoli ,an extended meeting with the training and local development coordinators in the sector companies ,as part of improving the training process and the continuous development to the sector.

The meeting included Director of General Administration of HRD at the NOC Mohammed Abu-Laaj, Director of training and development department at the Corporation Fakhruddin Al-Sharif, training coordinators and specialists in training development of the NOC, and a number of training and internal development coordinators and specialists in Zallaf, Ras Lanuf , Al-Waha ,Harouge ,Melita ,Al-Zawiya ,The Arabian Gulf Oil Company AGOCO ,Sirte ,and Al-Jauf companies , in addition to the Oil Institute for Rehabilitation and Training ,and Libyan Oil Institute.

The meeting dedicated to discussing the mechanism to unify efforts and coordinating for the optimal use of training resources available in the companies of the sector including specialized national expertise and efficiencies and technical training centers to launch various programs of practical training.

The participants discussed the possibility of creating a unified database of national expertise whether currently working in the sector or retired people ,who can assist in implementing the training and development programs in different areas, evaluating the training centers affiliated with NOC companies and determining the requirements necessary to qualify them as accredited training centers to provide technical certificates in different craft discipline ,entering into partnerships with the specialized international training bodies ,reactivating English Language training centers in the sector companies and developing them to obtain the international accreditation in English Language Area.

Mohammed Abu-Laaj confirmed that the challenges facing the sector and the requirements to improve the level of performance ,raise the production capacity ,and improve the efficiency level of human capital ,have become a matter that requires attention to localize training, improve and support it and achieve the greatest possible benefit from training capacities that the sector have .

Al-Laaj stressed the importance of putting plans and work mechanisms necessary to achieve this strategic goal, expressing his full confidence of the Corporation's ability to accomplish the required results, noting that intensifying efforts and benefiting from the capacities of the training companies will contribute in solving the difficulties faced by the sector companies in implementing the local training plans, including and fore-most scarcity of resources and logistical requirements.

The participants agreed on a number of executive steps that will be started as a first stage for launching local training program, that leading to improve the training process.
