Ukraine's President acknowledges his country's involvement in Libyan war and criticizes NATO's inaction.
Pulbished on:Kiev, 20 March 2022 (Lana) Ukrainian President Volodemir Zelensky said his country has provided thousands of troops to protect European national security by engaging in the Wars of Iraq, Afghanistan and Libya, yet NATO failed to properly support Ukraine in confronting Russia. "We fought next to NATO in Libya and Afghanistan, we introduced thousands of Ukrainian soldiers in Iraq to protect European national security, and we didn't see NATO giving us anything in our war with the Russians," Zelensky, who was born in 1978 to Jewish parents, told Kiev TV before being hit by a missile on Saturday.
Zelensky has repeatedly pressed for NATO imposition of a "no-fly zone" over Ukraine, an idea rejected by the alliance, saying it would put them at war with Russia, the Wall Street Journal said.
