President of Presidential Council meets candidates for the House of Representatives.

Tripoli, 20 March, 2022 (Lana) - The President of the Presidential Council, Mohamed Al-Manfi met Sunday, in the capital, Tripoli, a number of candidates for the House of Representatives, within the framework of the Presidential Council's follow-up to the elections file.

The meeting discussed advancing the political process by maintaining the popular momentum for holding elections, in response to the aspirations of nearly three million voters, according to a constitutional rule agreed upon by all.

The candidates for the parliamentary elections presented an initiative to the President of the Council, concerned with the parliamentary and presidential elections as soon as possible, stressing their full support for the Presidential Council in the file of national reconciliation among all Libyans, to establish peace and stability in the country.

For his part, President of the Presidential Council urged the candidates to continue to demand an acceleration of the parliamentary and presidential elections, stressing that the Council will spare no effort to support all steps aimed at achieving stability in Libya, through free, fair and transparent elections according to a constitutional base agreed upon and the results of which are accepted by all.
