Head of GNU government meets with the prominent figures of Sirte.

 Tripoli, 14 March 2022 (Lana) The Head of the Government of National Unity Abdul Hamid Al Dabaiba met on Monday prominent figures of the city of Sirte, in the presence of the Minister of State for Cabinet Affairs.

 According to the Government Communication Office, the meeting was devoted to discussing the compensation file and the damage sustained to the city caused by the wars it has witnessed over the past years.

 During the meeting, Al Dabaiba listened to a number of dignitaries who explained the most important problems and difficulties facing the city, which did not find interest from previous governments, the office said.

 It added that Al Dabaiba instructed the Emaar Sirte Fund to start paying rent allowance to approximately 1,200 families for the year 2022, and to assign advisory offices to carry out inventory and evaluation work to kickstart the removal of all the rubble from the city.
