Tripoli, March 08, 2022 (WAL) - The Governor of the Central Bank of Libya, Al-Siddiq Omar Al-Kabir, and his accompanying delegation, held a meeting today, Tuesday, with the Office for Combating the Financing of Terrorism and Financial Crimes at the US Treasury, at the ministry’s headquarters in Washington, DC.
And the Central Bank stated in a statement on its official page on the “Facebook” website that the most prominent thing that was discussed during the meeting was to provide support to the Central Bank of Libya in the field of combating terrorist financing and combating money laundering and financial crimes.
The projects adopted by the Central Bank of Libya to develop the Libyan Financial Information Unit concerned with combating the financing of terrorism and combating money laundering and financial crimes were also reviewed.
