Al Lafi discusses with Williams her initiative on formation of legislative committee to establish a constitutional rule for the elections.
Pulbished on:Tripoli, 8 March 2022 (Lana) Vice President of the Presidential Council, Abdullah Al-Lafi, discussed Tuesday in Tripoli, with UN Secretary-General's Adviser on Libya Stephanie Williams ways to find consensual proposals to resolve the Libyan crisis in its constitutional and legislative aspects.
This came during the meeting, which was attended by the President of the Supreme Court, Mohamed Al-Hafi, a member of the Constituent Assembly Al Hadi Abu Hamra, and the rapporteurs of the Assembly Ramadan Al Tuiger, to discuss the initiative of the UN Adviser on the formation of a committee of the House of Representatives and the Higher Council of State to establish a constitutional rule for holding elections as soon as possible.
The Communication Office of the Presidential Council said that the Secretary-General's adviser praised efforts of the Presidential Council, in supporting stability in the country, reaffirming that the mission aims through the initiative it launched to establish stability and conduct electoral entitlements as soon as possible.
