Russia welcomes the granting of confidence to the new Libyan government.

The Russian Federation announced its welcome to the formation of the new Libyan government headed by "Fatehi Bashagha" and its intention to cooperate with it in order to expedite the settlement of the crisis in the country.
"We welcome this decision of the Libyan parliament and consider it an important step towards overcoming the protracted crisis in Libya on the basis of achieving a national agreement within the framework of a comprehensive internal Libyan dialogue," the Russian Foreign Ministry said in a statement.
In its statement, the Foreign Ministry expressed "its readiness to cooperate constructively with the Bashagha government in order to further consolidate the comprehensive political settlement in Libya, as well as develop traditional Russian-Libyan friendly relations and multifaceted mutually beneficial cooperation."
