Tripoli, 1 March 2022 (Lana) The Government of National Unity has rejected the vote of confidence in the new government headed by Fathi Pashagha, describing it as a forgery.

The government said in a statement this evening that it is continuing its work, will not be bothered by what it described as this absurdity, and will focus its efforts on completing the elections in time next June.

The statement added that what happened today in the session of the House of Representatives confirms continued behavior of its presidency in pursuing fraud to get the decision out on behalf of the House in fabricated ways, and that the Libyans have seen the fraudulent count of the vote, which was clear with conclusive evidence on the screen, where the count did not reach the quorum specified by the House to gain confidence despite the lack of clarity of the image of the of confidence givers, as well as what a number of members of the House reported that despite the fact that they were not in Tobruk they were included in the count which did not reach Quorum in the first place.

According to the statement, the course of fraud in the presidency of the House of Representatives had begun since its passage of a withdrawal of confidence from the government by the same mechanism, and its selection of a head of government without quorum, and all these actions were carried out in violation of the political agreement, which provided for clear mechanisms in the constitutional amendment procedures and the formation of the executive authority, which were unilateral measures that brought the country back to the stage of division.
