Tripoli, February 26, 2022 - The Special Adviser to the Secretary-General of the United Nations for Libyan Affairs, Stephanie Williams, called on all Libyan parties to refrain from using violence or threats, and to put an end to hate speech and incitement.
This came during her meeting today, Saturday, with a group of participants in the Peace Makers-Libya meeting, which was held in Tunisia, according to what was published by "Williams" on her Twitter account.
Williams valued the results of the meeting of a group of peace makers in the European Union that took place in Tunisia and witnessed the presentation of options to address the ongoing political crisis in Libya, and the call for the resumption of the electoral process on a consistent, comprehensive, transparent and consensual basis.
Williams said that she discussed with the group the need to redouble efforts to promote national reconciliation, stressing the need to maintain calm on the ground.
