Minister of Social Affairs: we are committed to ease the suffering of the displaced and deliver their legitimate rights.

Tripoli, 26 February 2022(Lana) Minister of Social Affairs Wafa Al-Kilani confirmed her stand and full solidarity with the rights and demands of the displaced and Ministry’s commitment to alleviating of their suffering and helping them overcome this difficult situation and these harsh conditions that forced displaced people and displaced families to leave their areas, homes and property in all Libyan areas.

The Minister said in a special statement to the Libyan News Agency, on Saturday, that she has met with a number of displaced families from various areas of Libya, and assured them about the delivery of their rights and entitlements, which were decided by the Prime Minister's office and that they are working hard to implement the decision, and to pay their dues in accordance with legal frameworks without exception.

Al-Kilani explained that the ministry is currently working to complete all the procedures of displaced and displaced families in accordance with the lists referred to them by the competent authorities to ensure that the rights are delivered to their owners in an orderly manner by following the laws and regulations in place in the process of disbursing their financial dues, reassuring the displaced that their rights are protected with the Ministry.

At the end of her statement to Lana, the Minister of Social Affairs expressed hope and wishes for a comprehensive and complete solution to the problem of displaced persons, that is shared by all Libyans and all official, civil and community institutions, a solution that ensures their return to their areas and property, and this will only be done through national reconciliation and reunification, a collective solidarity and responsibility that concerns and devours all Libyans without exception, and not just the government, which no matter how much it provides, will remain temporary and incomplete treatments.
