Lafi assures Palestinian Prime Minister of Libya's support for the Palestinian cause.

 Tripoli, 23 February 2022 (Lana) Vice President of the Presidential Council Abdullah Al-Lafi received a telephone call from Palestinian Prime Minister Mohammed Ashtiya in which he reaffirmed Libya’s continued support for the Palestinian cause, the right of return to the Palestinians, and the establishment of an independent state with Jerusalem as its capital.

 Al Lafi told Ashtiya that the Palestinian community in Libya lives with their Libyan brothers with respect.

According to the Presidential Communication Office, the telephone call came during a reception AlLafi gave on Wednesday morning, to the Ambassador of the State of Palestine to Libya Mohammed Rahal, who briefed him on the general situation in the Palestinian territories, and the suffering of the Palestinian people under the occupation, as the world became preoccupied with the Russian-Ukrainian crisis.

The Palestinian Ambassador also praised Libya's positions in support of the Palestinian cause, hoping that the elections that the Libyan people look forward to, bring about stability and prosperity to Libyans, so that they can play their role in supporting the Palestinian cause on the Arab and regional levels.
