Tripoli, February 22, 2022 (LANA) - The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation announced the refusal of the national unity government to recognize the independence of "Donetsk" and "Luhansk", stressing its commitment to the sovereignty and territorial integrity of the Republic of Ukraine.

The ministry said in a statement today, Tuesday, that the government of national unity joins the international community in its appeal to Russia to undo any military operation against Ukraine, calling for calm and the withdrawal of the Russian military build-up on the Ukrainian borders and the occupied Crimea, according to the text of the statement.

The government renewed its categorical rejection of the illegal presence of "Wagner" forces in the Ukraine and Libya, calling on Russia to use the language of dialogue and diplomacy as an alternative to the language of war.
