National Oil Corporation opens the Tahara oil field of the Arabian Gulf Company AGOCO with a production capacity of 2,500 barrels per day.

Tripoli, 22 February 2022 (Lana) The National Oil Corporation NOC yesterday opened the Tahara field of The Arabian Gulf Company AGOCO with a production capacity of 2,500 barrels per day, and which is expected to reach 40,000 barrels as part of the Corporation plan to develop and increase oil production.

The launch of the fields was attended by the Chairman of the Board of Directors of the corporation Mustafa Sun’Allah and the member of the Board of Directors Abul Qasim Shinqir, Chairman of the Management Committee Salah Al Gatrani, members of the management committee of the company, and a number of general managers and directors of departments.

The NC4-operated Tahara field currently produces 2,500 barrels per day, and is expected to reach 40,000 barrels once budgets are in place for the oil sector.

 "The Hamda area of the Ghadames basin is one of the most promising areas because it contains huge oil and gas stocks," said the Corporation Chairman Mustafa Sun’Allah.
