An expanded meeting at the Airports Authority to discuss the progress of the operational process at airports and the proposal for financial allocations for the year 2022.

Tripoli, February 21, 2022 (LANA) - An extensive meeting was held at the Airports Authority headquarters, which included the authority’s president, his assistant, airport managers, the head of the Civil Aviation Authority, the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Transportation for Air Transport Affairs and an advisor to His Excellency the Minister of Transportation to discuss the progress of the operational process at airports and to review the proposal for financial allocations for the year 2022.

During the meeting, a visual presentation was presented by the Head of the Development and Investment Department in the Planning Department at the Airports Authority, during which she reviewed the estimated budget proposal for the current year and the projects to be implemented for all airports. In addition to the interest-based obligations and the percentages of technical completion of the projects contracted for implementation during the past years.

The needs and deficiencies related to civil aviation systems and equipment, air navigation and meteorological devices were also discussed, and solutions to problems and obstacles facing the workflow at airports were also discussed.

The meeting was attended by the Director General of the National Center of Meteorology, directors of departments, in the presence of the advisor to the Minister of Communications and a number of directors of departments in the department.
