President of the Presidential Council meets the President of the Republic of South Africa.

Brussels, February 19, 2022 (LANA) - The President of the Presidential Council, Mohamed El Mnifi, met on Friday with the President of the Republic of South Africa, "Cyril Ramaphosa".

 During the meeting, which comes as part of his meetings with a number of heads of state and government participating in the Sixth African-European Summit in Belgium, Al-Mnifi welcomed South Africa’s support for the efforts of the Presidential Council in national reconciliation and the return of peace and stability in Libya.

Al-Mnifi also stressed the depth of the joint relations between the two friendly countries, and the Presidential Council's endeavors to develop them in various fields.

In turn, Ramaphosa affirmed his country's readiness to support the Presidential Council for the success of national reconciliation in order to achieve stability in Libya, bring the country to safety, and pave the way for the electoral process that the Libyan people aspire to.
