Al-Hawij reviews with the Secretary-General of the Council of Arab Economic Unity the council's plan to support the reconstruction of Libya.

Cairo, February 12, 2022  - The Minister of Economy and Trade, "Mohammed al-Hawij" met today, Saturday, in the Egyptian capital, Cairo, with the Secretary-General of the Council of Arab Economic Unity, "Mohammedy Elni" to discuss the council's plan to support the reconstruction of Libya.

During the meeting, which was held within the framework of activating the return of Libya's membership in the Council and the aspects of support required to activate and develop the investment, trade and industry sectors in the State of Libya, he called for directing quality and specialized Arab unions, business owners and investors towards Libya to participate in the implementation of investment projects in different sectors.

The Minister of Economy and Trade also urged the Council of Arab Economic Unity to coordinate and cooperate with the private sector and investors in the region and to develop a joint action strategy in cooperation with Arab Chambers of Commerce and Industry to achieve economic integration and enhance inter-Arab trade.

During the meeting, Al-Hawij stressed that Libya is working to strengthen its role in the region in all fields with the aim of localizing industries and achieving economic diversification and spatial development, according to what was published by the official page of the Ministry of Economy and Trade.
