The 35th African Union Summit in Addis Ababa concludes with a series of resolutions and directives.

Addis Ababa, 7 February 2022 (Lana) The 35th regular session of the Conference of African heads of state and government concluded with a set of resolutions and directives for many priority areas.
Over the course of two days, participants discussed issues related to the issues of 2022; addressing the Covid-19 pandemic in Africa, economic recovery, development and integration on the continent, governance and climate change, draft legal mechanisms as well as issues related to peace and security and "silence of guns".
Speaking at the conclusion of the summit, Senegalese President Maki Sal stressed that Africa will no longer accept coups d'état, warning that the challenges facing the African Union will be peace, security, stability, the fight against terrorism and the response to growing coups d'état.
The Senegalese president reaffirmed that there is no development, integration, peace and stability without meeting these challenges, calling for efforts to be devoted to what unites the continent, and not what divides it, and we must work for the development and prosperity of the African peoples," adding that "we want to have a shift in energy, especially before discussing industrialization as well as universal access to electricity."
Trade between African countries, economic integration, infrastructure development, energy transformation, health, education, consolidation of financial institutions and universal electricity are among the areas that have prioritized future efforts to achieve a better Africa, McKee-Sal said.
In his speech, AU Commission President Moussa Mohamed called on everyone to achieve peace and prosperity and continue to work on the root causes of these unconstitutional changes to governments in Africa.
