Workshop on micro & small enterprises and their role in improving economic opportunities for internally displaced families.

Tripoli,7 February , 2022 (Lana) - The Office of the Minister of State for Displaced Affairs and Human Rights organized Sunday in Tripoli a workshop on micro-projects and their role in improving economic opportunities for displaced families.

The workshop was organized in cooperation with the Office of the Minister of State for Economic Affairs, the Department of Private Sector Development and Investment at the Ministry of Economy and businessmen councils, in addition to a number of civil society organizations.

The Undersecretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs for International Cooperation and Organizations, Omar Al-Kati, participated in this workshop, which was entitled (The Role of Small and Micro Enterprises in Improving Economic Opportunities for Internally Displaced Families).

Minister of State for Displaced Affairs "Ahmed Abu Khuzam" and a number of experts and economic advisors from government and private sectors, and businessmen councils in Libya also participated in the workshop.

During the workshop, plans and programmes to implement development projects that support the displaced to alleviate their suffering were discussed.

The workshop concluded with several recommendations, including health care projects for three cities in the east, west and south, and capacity building programmes for displaced workers, with the support of the private sector.
