European Mission on Benghazi's visit: we are pleased to see signs of Return to life after recent wars.

Benghazi, 6 February 2022(Lana) The European Mission to Libya today expressed its pleasure to see real signs of life returning, after the war witnessed in not distant past.

The mission said in a statement, commenting on its representative’s visit to Benghazi last week, “during this visit, the children who gave a wonderful concert at the Barah Cultural Center near to the ruins of the old city, that were affected by the war, gave us hope that everything is possible ", adding "they give a clear example of the cooperation and how it can help in achieving success”.

The Mission considered that, the contradiction between war and children's talent and their passion for life, gives an indication of what should be focused on in the next stage, adding "these children's talent, perseverance, and commitment in confronting all difficulties are an example for all of us. "We are proud of their work, and wish them a better future", the statement added.

A team from the European Mission led by EU Ambassador to Libya Jose Sabadell, visited the cities of Benghazi and Al-Qubba last week, they met a number of politicians, and visited many projects funded by the Union as part of the assistance and support to the local communities to improve their access to the basic needs.
