Vice President of the Presidential Council Abdullah Al-Lafi chairs a meeting to discuss security violations on the West Coast

Sabratha, February 5, 2022 (LANA) - The Vice President of the Presidential Council, Abdullah Al-Lafi - Supreme Commander of the Libyan Army - chaired this morning, Saturday in Sabratha, a meeting with a number of members of the House of Representatives, and components from the municipalities of the West Coast, represented by mayors and security directorates in the region In the presence of the Commander of the West Coast Military Region, Major General Salah Al-Namroush.

 The meeting was devoted to discussing the problems and security breaches that the region suffers from, proposing appropriate solutions to address them, imposing security and law enforcement, and the prestige of the state. The meeting also discussed ways to combat organized crime, all other negative phenomena, and apprehend outlaws.

During the meeting, the Vice-President of the Presidential Council stressed the importance of unifying the Libyan army and security directorates throughout Libya, especially those that extend from the western entrance to the capital in Janzour, to the Ras Ajdir crossing, to control security and facilitate the movement of citizens between cities, without any security obstacles.

The Vice-President of the Presidential Council praised the role of security directorates in implementing security operations and addressing the violations that some cities are exposed to in the West Coast region, considering that the formation of the joint security and military room will enhance the chances of achieving citizens' demands to impose security in their regions and cities.

The meeting reviewed the possibility of coordinating and unifying efforts between the military, security and municipal components, and proposing clear practical plans to establish security and protect citizens, and preserve public and private property.
