House of Representatives completes the debate on the roadmap and stresses need to stop foreign interference in Libyan affairs.

    Tobruk, 1 February 2022 (Lana) The House of Representatives, chaired by Speaker Ageela Saleh, and in the presence of second deputy Hmaid Houma, completed the debate on the findings of the roadmap committee.

The council's spokesman Abdullah Bleiheg explained that the House of Representatives has agreed to set up a committee in consultation with the High Council of State, provided that the majority of its members being experts and on specific conditions to submit a proposal to amend the constitutional declaration and refer it to the House of Representatives for a vote and approval, as a draft constitution and refer it to the High National Election Commission for a referendum.

Bleiheg noted that he House demanded a review of the heads of the regulatory bodies and their agents, and urged the House Finance Committee to speed up the referral of the investment portfolio law.

The spokesman also said that during the session, it was confirmed that the UN Secretary-General had been informed of the cessation of foreign interference in Libyan affairs and that the Foreign Ministry should take what was necessary so that ambassadors of foreign countries respect the Libyan law and diplomatic norms.
