In a statement, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs said that the visit of the Moroccan delegation comes in order to prepare for the reopening of the Moroccan Consulate in Tripoli, after an 8-year closure.
The ministry confirmed that this step comes within the framework of the efforts of the National Unity Government to facilitate procedures for granting visas to Libyan citizens from the consulate headquarters in Tripoli, support mechanisms of cooperation between Morocco and Libya, and consolidate and strengthen bilateral relations between the two brotherly countries.
It is noteworthy that the joint Libyan-Moroccan Consular Committee held its meetings late last year and agreed to facilitate the access of Libyan students and their families to visa and residency in Morocco, granting visas to investors, businessmen and visiting, and facilitating the resumption of flights between the two countries.
