Head of GNU Government inspects the Great Mosque of Tripoli and announces the completion of its construction next February.

 Tripoli, 28 January 2022 (Lana) The Head of the Government of National Unity "Abdul Hamid Al Dbeiba on Friday inspected the Great Mosque of Tripoli located in the Area of Ben Ashour in the capital Tripoli, and performed Friday prayers with a number of Government ministers, elders and dignitaries of the city.

After the prayer, the Prime Minister announced the completion of the construction of the mosque in February after a hiatus of more than 10 years, after it was included in the ‘Return of Life’ plan, which aims to revive projects that have been stalled throughout Libya.

The mosque project includes the construction of a parking lot for mosque goers, as well as a Holy Qur’an school and an Islamic studies centre.
