Tripoli, 27 January 2022 (Lana) UN Secretary General Special Adviser on Libya Stephanie Williams discussed with Major General Mohammed Al-Haddad on Thursday the military track, efforts to unify the military, and advance on withdrawal of mercenaries, foreign fighters and foreign troops from Libya.

Williams said in a tweet that she expressed her appreciation of Al Haddad’s national sense and his commitment to the principle of dialogue, noting that she had briefed him on her recent consultations with regional and international partners.

Williams also praised Al-Haddad's recent meetings with Major General Abdel Razeq Al-Nadhouri and his determination to maintain stability and peace in Libya, according to the tweet.
