Tripoli, 4 April, 2022 (Lana) – The Special Adviser to the Secretary-General of the United Nations, Stephanie Williams, continues her meetings with the political and social sectors and forces in Libya to explore their views, aspirations and proposals regarding the electoral process, which circumstances did not allow to be conducted on the 24th of last December. Yesterday, she met with a group of representatives of the national forces for change" in Libya. On her Twitter account, Stephanie Williams tweeted: (Within the framework of my ongoing consultations with Libyan political actors, yesterday, accompanied by the Assistant Secretary-General, Acting Head of Mission, Mr. Risdon Zeninga, I met with representatives of the National Forces for Change, at the mission headquarters). In a second tweet, she said: (In the meeting, they reviewed their proposal for holding the elections in a sequential manner with the start of the parliamentary elections. In turn, we reiterated the need to continue moving forward and achieve the aspirations of 2.8 million Libyan citizens who registered to vote).
