President of Presidential Council meets Benghazi veteran Athletes Association.

  Tobruk, 29 December 2021 (Lana) President of the Presidential Council Mohammed Al Mnefi met on Wednesday the Benghazi veteran Athletes Association represented by Fawzi Al-Issawi, Ali Al-Bishari and Wanis Kheir highlighting their sporting history that was full of tournaments, and their representation of Libya in all international forums.

The meeting focused on possible establishment of sports projects in various games to develop sports infrastructure and establish a football and associated games in Benghazi on the latest international standards adopted by FIFA.

 The President of the Council issued his instructions to establish the stadium and to pay due attention to the infrastructure of sports clubs in all regions in terms of maintenance and development for its role in promoting the talents of young people in various games, and to create bridges of communication between sports clubs in all Libyan regions to contribute to the success of the national reconciliation project.

At the end of the meeting, the association's veterans presented the Al Mnefi with a shield of pride in appreciation for his role in supporting and promoting Libyan sport and his efforts in unifying state institutions, and the Libyan army and his undertaking of the file of national reconciliation.
