Qatari Ambassador expresses his country's wishes for security, and reaffirms support for Libya to gain lasting stability.

   Tripoli, 27 December 2021 (Lana) The Ambassador extraordinary and plenipotentiary of the state of Qatar to Libya Khaled Al-Dosari expressed his country's wishes to Libya for security and lasting stability.

 This came during an audience with the President of the High Council of State "Khaled Al-Mashri" on Monday in the capital Tripoli, during which the Ambassador offered his congratulations on the occasion of the 70th anniversary of Libya’s Independence Day, wishing Libya progress and prosperity.

   For his part, "Mashri" commended support of the State of Qatar for the Libyan people, wishing the Ambassador success in performing his duties, to strengthen relations between the two countries and to serve the interests of the two brotherly peoples.

   According to the Council's Communication office, the two sides discussed the electoral process in Libya, whereby the President of the High Council of State explained reasons for not completing the electoral process, stressing that the elections cannot be held without constitutional and legal grounds to ensure a fair and transparent elections, adding that the Council was engaged in bringing about solutions to the current deadlock.
