Statement on visit by delegation of House of Representatives to Turkey.

Tripoli, 19 December 2021 (Lana) The delegation of the House of Representatives agreed with the Turkish National Assembly to open routes, for all of Libyan airlines without exception between Benina International Airport and Istanbul International Airport, open direct shipping lines with the commercial ports of Tobruk and Benghazi, and remove various obstacles to return of Turkish Airlines to Libya and Turkish companies in general to complete their previous contracts.

    The delegation also agreed with the Turkish side to work together to reopen the Turkish consulate in Benghazi, facilitate procedures for obtaining visas and follow up the accredited offices in particular, to ensure the reduction of fees for citizens, work to alleviate the suffering of citizens, ease procedural restrictions on the Libyan community and students in the Turkish state, and form a parliamentary friendship committee between the two sides.

  This came in the statement published by the House of Representatives at the end of the delegation's visit to Turkey, indicating that this visit came at the official invitation of the Turkish National Assembly during the period from 15 to 17 December 2021, during which the delegation was honored to meet President of the Turkish Republic, an extraordinary message pointing to the importance and timing of the visit.

     According to the statement issued at the end of the visit, it was agreed to implement special arrangements and steps needed to implement what was agreed upon. .

  The delegation of the House of Representatives included the Acting Speaker of the House Fawzi Al-Nuwairi, Badr Al-Nahib Al-Aqaibi, "Issa Al-Oraibi, "Idris Al-Maghribi", Salem Gnan, Youssef Al-Aqouri and Ziad Daghaim.
