Tunisia and Turkey: Current situation calls for help of Libyans to reach quick consensus on upcoming elections
Pulbished on:Istanbul, 19 December, 2021 (Lana) - The Tunisian Minister of Foreign Affairs, and Immigration, Othman Al-Jarandi and his Turkish counterpart, Mevlut Cavusoglu, affirmed that the current situation calls for everyone to help the Libyans to move forward on the path of a political settlement and reach quick consensus on the upcoming benefits that secure Libya’s exit from the current situation and put it on the path of stability and integration into the development dynamism in the African region in particular.
This came during a meeting between Al-Grandi and Oglu in Istanbul on the sidelines of the preparations for the third African-Turkish Partnership Summit, which was held on Saturday. According to a statement by the Tunisian Foreign Ministry, the meeting dealt with the most important regional and international issues of common interest, foremost of which is the situation in Libya.
