An Italian politician calls on her country and France to stop the chaos that makes Libya a powder keg.

Rome, December 18, 2021 (LANA) - Member of the European Parliament from the Italian Democratic Party, "Pina Pesciarno", called in a statement, what she described as (the new axis between France and Italy, to put an end to the chaos that still makes Libya a permanent powder keg), as well as the European Union, which does not pay enough attention to Libya.

The Italian Nova Agency quoted Pichiarno as saying: “The possible postponement of the elections in Libya, scheduled for December 24, is in fact a resounding and alarming alarm bell, because the escalation in the recent period is going very quietly, while the international community must, in particular, the European Union is taking more effective steps.

Pichiarno described Libya as "a critical crossroads in a geopolitical key, and there are intertwined dynamics and interests that can alter the balance on a global scale."
