Al Koni meets with Acting Speaker of parliament and President of High National Election Commission.

 Tripoli, 2 December 2021 (Lana) Vice President of Presidential Council Musa Al-Koni met Thursday morning the Acting Speaker of the House of Representatives Fawzi al-Nuweiri and the President of the High National Election Commission Imad Al-Sahyeh.

 During this meeting, Al Sayeh reviewed the problems and difficulties that hinder the work of the Commission and the steps taken to ensure that the elections are held in a smooth way by creating the best technical and security ways for the vote to succeed, in accordance with the international standards in this context.

For his part, Al-Nuweiri reviewed the legal and constitutional framework adopted by parliament with regard to the electoral process to pave the way for fair elections, and to ensure that the results will be accepted by the parties involved in the political process.

Al-Koni praised the important role of the Parliament and the commission in terms of elections vowing continued support of the Presidential Council for efforts to hold elections on set time.
