HNEC issues list and guide to candidacy for the elections.

Tripoli, 10 November 2021 (Lana) The High National Elections Commission has issued a regulation and guide for candidacy for the presidential elections, as part of a series of procedures guide that the commission has been publishing.
The HNEC Electoral Operations Department said the regulation and guide for candidacy for presidential elections explains, and clarifies everything related to the procedures for candidacy for presidential elections such as the electoral system for electing the head of state, who is entitled to run, what are the conditions for candidacy, when and where the application for candidacy is submitted and who submits it, what forms are required and documents attached to the candidacy application, the appeals, who has the right to appeal before the appeals committee, and how the appeal is conducted, the final lists, where and when they are announced, when the candidates have the right to start their own campaigns and when they must abide by electoral silence and what are the general terms and conditions that are required to comply with them. The guide also included photos of the forms required to complete the registration process.
The Department of Electoral Operations added that the guide includes answers to many questions, including if a candidate's name does not appear in the preliminary lists, what are the procedures to be followed in such a case, and if a candidate decides to withdraw, is it permissible for him to do so.
