The Foreign Information Department told the Libyan News Agency the Minister has categorically denied that she mentioned the name of "Abu Ajaila Masoud" during her interview with the British BBC.
The department quoted the Minister as saying that she answered a question related to the Lockerbie victims, and the victims of the Manchester Arena bombing, which occurred in 2017, and in which a British citizen of Libyan origin was accused, indicating that these issues fell within the jurisdiction of the Office of the Attorney General in Libya who is responsible for addressing the issue with the judicial institutions of the two countries?
The Minister of Foreign Affairs pointed out that the positive results of the Libya Stabilization Conference still resonate widely in the Libyan corridors, describing the event as an achievement for Libya, which will contribute to improving and strengthening Libya's position in the international and regional arena.
According to the Foreign Information Department, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs warns against circulating and disseminating false and misleading news to the public, because it is considered a crime punishable by law.
