Tripoli, 7 November 2021 (Lana) The Government of National Unity announced its objection to the Presidency Council’s decision to suspend the Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation Najla Al Mangoush from work and investigated against the background of her recent statements regarding the Lockerbie bombing case in 1988 for violating the outcomes of the political dialogue.

The government said in a statement issued last night, that the tasks of the executive authority represented by the National Unity Government and the Presidential Council, which were determined by the outcome of the political dialogue signed in Geneva, do not give the Presidency Council the right to appoint, or to cancel the appointment of members of the executive authority, suspend them, or investigate them.
