The Presidency of the Supreme Council of State holds a dialogue session on the position of the Council on electoral laws

Tripoli, November 3, 2021 (LANA) - The Presidency of the Supreme Council of State held today in Tripoli a dialogue session on the position of the Council on the electoral process and its laws.

The session was attended by the head of the Supreme Council of State, "Khaled Al-Mashri", the first deputy head of the council, "Masoud Obaid" and the heads of the committees in the council, "Moussa Faraj" and "Bashir Al-Hush".

During the dialogue, Al-Mashri stressed the importance of holding elections in achieving stability and issuing electoral laws by consensus between the House of Representatives and the state in order to ensure that all parties accept the election outcomes.

He added in his speech at the session that the interference of some foreign countries in putting pressure on the High Electoral Commission to work with certain laws is unacceptable and has been confirmed by the UN mission and UN resolutions.
