Rightest Group: twin Die as a result of suspension of air traffic at Benina Airport
Pulbished on:Tripoli, 1 November 2021 (Lana) Libyan Human Rights Organization called for facilitating the movement of citizens through airports and ports, in accordance with recognized legal procedures.
The organization said in a statement, that it monitored the damage caused to the citizens as a result of stopping domestic air flights to and from Benina Airport, noting that this was reflected on the vulnerable groups, the foremost of which is the sick.
It stressed the need for the concerned authorities not to deprive people of movement through cities, and to ensure that airports and ports are not closed for political and ideological purposes, given that freedom of movement and travel is one of the basic human rights at all times and places.
The Organization indicated that among the damages that affected the citizens due to the closure of the airport, death of a twins of Sabri Al-Obeidi, because he was unable to travel as a result of the suspension of air traffic at Benina Airport.
The statement called on the Ministry of Communications in the Government of National Unity to take the necessary measures, in coordination with airlines, to resume domestic and international flights to and from the city of Benghazi.
