Abu Janah announces start of implementation of the 140-kilometre-long Al-Bartama-Barak road project.

Tripoli, 24 October, 2021 (Lana) - The Deputy Prime Minister of the Government of National Unity, Ramadan Abu Janah, announced, Saturday, the start of the implementation of the 140-kilometre-long Al-Burtamah-Barak road project.

 This project comes within the plan to restore life launched by Prime Minister Abdul Hamid al-Dabaiba to revive development projects in all parts of Libya. T Minister of Transport, Mohammed Al-Shoubi and the Minister of Housing and Construction Abu Bakr Al-Ghawi, the head of the Transportation Projects Execution Authority, Sami Al-Abash, the head of the Roads and Bridges Authority "Al-Hussein Ibrahim Suwaidan" and the director of the department's branches, Mohammed Al-Hashemi participated in this event. For his part, the Deputy Prime Minister stressed that this project will be among a series of development projects that the government will implement in many southern regions in order to provide for the needs of citizens. It is noteworthy that the projects that were contracted such as Roads and Bridges Authority are close to 40 projects, and today the sites have been handed over to companies for the actual start of implementation. They are distributed over most of the municipalities in the south and are divided into four branches: Ubari, Sabha, Al Jufra, and Murzuq. In the meeting held in Al-Shati municipality, the additional budget for the southern region was approved between the Deputy Prime Minister of the Government of National Unity and the Minister of Communications with an estimated value of 50 million dinars to relieve some of the bottlenecks that the southern regions suffer from starting next December.
