Guterres Urges Libyan Leaders to Put Interests of People First.
Pulbished on:New York, 28 September 2021(Lana) UN Secretary General Antonio Guterres on Monday called on Libyan leaders to put the interests of their people first.
This came in a press conference, the Spokesman for the Secretary General Stéphane Dujarric held at the UN headquarters in New York.
The Spokesman said ‘we are concerned by the differences we saw between Libyan parties, and we hope that things return to normalcy, and elections held on set time in December, the elections which Libyans await and deserve.
‘The advice which the Secretary General offers to Libyan Leaders is to put the interests of their people first, the Spokesman said.
