Head of Government of National Unity Says Libya Aspires for Unified Military, Real Police Force and Free and Fair Elections.

Tripoli, 6 September 2021(Lana) The Head of the Government of Unity Abdul Hamid Al Dbeiba said Libya aspired to have a unified military, real Police force and free and fair elections.

This came in remarks, Al Dbeiba made at the Ambrosetti Forum in Italy on Friday.

Al Dbeiba called in his speech on countries to assist Libya in the reconstruction process, indicating that Libya is a large country with strategic location.

He stressed that the Government of National Unity believed that stability depended on political, economic and social elements that had to be considered.

The Head of Government met on sidelines of the conference the President of the Republic of Congo, whom he congratulated on chairmanship of the African Union.

On his part, the Congolese President welcomed the Libya Stability Initiative aimed at joining ranks of friendly countries, UN and regional organisations under a Libyan leadership.
