Pulbished on:Tripoli, 18 August, 2021 (Lana) - The 444th Combat Brigade detachments carried out several operations in the city of Shweref and the surrounding areas, based on the instructions of the commander of the Tripoli Military Region, Major General Abdul Basit Marwan.
"The 444th Combat Brigade" said in a statement that these operations targeted several locations for saboteurs and outlaws, including the man-made river water control room, stressing that two saboteurs were arrested, as well as weapons, equipment and military vehicles.
The statement stressed that tampering with water sources is a breach of food security and results in harm to society as a whole, and such behavior will not be allowed to continue and unjustly harm people, and all those involved in these criminal acts will be brought to justice sooner or later.
The Man-made River Authority announced the continuation of stopping pumping water from the Al-Hasawna system - Al-Jafara Plain, because the reasons that led to this stoppage, which are outside the control of the authority, have not ceased.
