Abu Al Ghaith Meets Guterres on Sidelines of UN Security Council Meeting on Libya.

New York, 17 July 2021(Lana) Secretary of Arab League Ahmed Abu Al Ghaith met the UN Secretary General Antonio Guterres on the sidelines of the Security Council meeting on Libya.

According to a statement by the Arab League, the two sides discussed regional issues including developments in Libya.

Abu Al Ghaith affirmed Arab League support for the UN-led peace track through its Envoy Jan Kupis to get positive results from the political dialogue, with an emphasis on commitment by all parties to conducting of elections on set time Dec.24, and providing support for the Government of National Unity to carry out its mission in this regard.
