Al-Sunni and Kubis stress importance of respecting roadmap that leads to the holding of elections on time.

New York, 15 June, 2021 (and) - Libya's delegate to the United Nations, "Taher Al-Sunni," met, Wednesday, at the headquarters of the Libyan mission in New York, the Special Envoy of the Secretary-General for Libya, "Jan Kubis", and discussed the latest developments of the political situation and the results of the dialogue forum that was recently held in Geneva.

        According to the website of Libya's mission to the United Nations, al-Sunni and Kubis stressed during the meeting the importance of respecting the roadmap for political dialogue and its outcomes, as well as the relevant Security Council resolutions, which will lead to general elections at the end of the year.

This meeting comes on the eve of the Security Council session which is ongoing now to hear the briefing of the UN envoy on developments.
