Head of Government of National Unity Discuss With Mayors of Southern Region Difficulties Facing Them.

Tripoli, 14 July 2021(Lana) The Head of the Government of National Unity Abdul Hamid Al Dbeib met on Tuesday mayors of the southern region to discuss problems facing southern municipalities. The meeting was attended by Ministers of Transport, Health and Minister of State for Cabinet Affairs.

Mayors highlighted a decision issued by the Government concerning local taxes and levies, and the allocation of LD 500 to support the municipalities. The Head of the Government stressed the need to give the southern region the priority in basic services by various ministries.

The Health Minister said his ministry was ready to provide needs for quarantine centers, and reassured the mayors on arrival of vaccines which he said the Ministry would start distributing.
