Chief of Staff of Libyan Army Starts 5 Day Visit to Russia.

Tripoli, 10 July 2021(Lana) The Chief of Staff of the Libyan Army Lieutenant General Mohamed Al Haddad starts Saturday a 5 day visit to the Russian Federation, during which he will hold talks with senior Russian officials.

The Africa Confidential website said Al Haddad is ‘to meet Russian Defence Minister Sergey Shoygu, and his deputy Alexander Fomin, to discuss re-unification of the Libyan armed forces and the thorny issue of its command, to end the crisis in Libya.’

The French website said the visit of General Al Haddad to Moscow came several days after a visit by the Chief of Staff of the Algerian Armed Forces Saïd Chengriha during which the Libyan file along with other issues was discussed.
