Dbeiba: We Stand Today to Reflect back on What Berlin 1 has Achieved.

Tripoli, 23 June 2021(Lana) The Head of the Government of National Unity Abdul Hamid Al Dbeiba said national reconciliation in Libya was a track not an event, and should not be used as a pre-requisite to holding the elections, but a symbol of the next phase.

Al Dbeiba was speaking at the opening session of the Berlin 2 Conference on Libya which kicked off in Berlin on Wednesday.

‘I stand before you today so we can together re-assess the commitments of the Berlin 1, and the achievements of this phase which are plenty, but not enough because our country still faces threats against its stability and its ability to be a democratic active player regionally and internationally, he said.

Now we can say with a loud voice, no return to war, no piddling of Libyan resources and no disagreement off the negotiating table, he added.
