Algeria affirms its unconditional support for the Libyan authorities in their tireless efforts to restore political and security stability in the country.

Algeria, June 08, 2021 (LANA) - Algeria expressed its strong condemnation of the terrorist attack that targeted a police post at the entrance to the city of Sabha in southern Libya last Sunday, killing two officers and wounding five other policemen.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs said in a statement today that Algeria affirms its unconditional support for the Libyan authorities in their tireless efforts to restore political and security stability throughout Libya.

In its statement, the ministry also expressed its sincere condolences and sympathy to the  Libyan government and people, and to the families of the martyrs, and wished a speedy recovery for the injured.

Yesterday, Monday, the Ministry of Interior in the Government of National Unity issued immediate instructions to the Sebha Security Directorate and the Criminal Investigation Agency regarding the initiation of procedures for investigating the incident and taking samples from the crime scene.
