The Prime Minister of the National Unity Government receives Foreign Ministers of Italy and Malta and the EU Commissioner for the Neighborhood Policy.
Pulbished on:Tripoli, May 28, 2021 (LANA) - The head of the national unity government, Abdel Hamid Dbaiba, received, on Friday noon in the capital, Tripoli, a European delegation that included Italian Foreign Minister Luigi Di Maio, Malta's foreign minister, Evarist Bartolo, and the European Union Commissioner for Neighborhood Policy and Negotiations Expansion, "Oliver Farrelly", in the presence of the Ministers of Foreign Affairs, Interior, and State for Immigration Affairs in the Government of National Unity.
The meeting, which was held at the headquarters of the Prime Minister's Office, dealt with relations and cooperation in all fields, and work to strengthen and develop these relations in a way that serves common interests.
The two sides also exchanged views on various issues of common interest, the most important of which is the joint coordination between Libyan and the European side in finding sustainable and more comprehensive solutions to alleviate the crisis of the flow of illegal immigrants, border control and combat organized crime.
