The December 24 Movement: We will not allow more time to be wasted. The elections must be held on time.

Benghazi, April 27, 2021 (WAL) - The December 24 movement, civil society activists and political elites in Tobruk affirmed that holding elections on time is a popular demand and a democratic right for all people.

In a statement addressed to the Presidential Council, the government of national unity, the UN mission and members of the Political Dialogue Committee, "The Movement" stated that the people still suffer from many problems, political, economic and social, that affected the capabilities of their country and the future of its people, in addition to the loss of Libya's international prestige.

The statement urges the Presidency Council and the Government of National Unity to expedite the realization of this demand and the democratic right on the specified date, and work and preparation, with the sincere intention of everyone who is currently at the top of the political scene to hold the elections on time, stressing that no more time is allowed.
