Tripoli, April 24, 2021 (LANA) - Presidential Council member Musa Al-Koni received a phone call from the US ambassador to Libya, Richard Norland, in which he expressed his appreciation for Al-Koni's assertion of strong popular support for the holding of national elections on time, next December

 According to a tweet posted on the official page of the US embassy, "Norland" stressed the importance of the Presidency Council in the advanced political structures in Libya.

  The recent events in neighboring Chad were also discussed during the phone call, and the need to unify the military establishment and control the country's borders to ensure the protection of Libyan sovereignty.
