The Egyptian Foreign Minister is making a phone call to the Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, "Najla Al-Manqoush," inviting her to visit Egypt.

Tripoli, April 24, 2021 (LANA) - Egyptian Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukry held a phone call today, Saturday, with Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, Najla Al-Manqoush, on the latest developments in the situation in Libya.

The spokesman for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ahmed Hafez, said that the contact touched on ways to strengthen the bilateral relations between the two brotherly countries, as well as exchanging views on the latest developments in Libya and efforts to fully implement the outcomes of the political dialogue and the relevant Security Council resolution, in a manner that guarantees the stability, and prosperity of Libya.

The Egyptian Foreign Minister also extended an invitation to his Libyan counterpart to visit Egypt at the earliest opportunity, within the framework of continuing consultations and coordination regarding strengthening the pillars of stability in Libya, in light of the long historical relations between the two countries.

For her part, Minister Al-Manqoush accepted the invitation, provided that the date will be fixed soon.
